Classroom Procedure

During the month of August, I will be teaching my students proper procedures to follow in our classroom.  A procedure is what the teacher wants the students to do and soon we will turn it into a routine.  Some questions I will answer are: When can I sharpen my pencil?  Where should I hand in my work? etc.  Well established procedures help eliminate wasted time.  Every day as my students enter the room there will be a BELLRINGER (an assignment they can begin work on) somewhere in the room on the white board or smartboard.  I will take roll as they begin work.  This helps to get the students focused and avoids wasting precious minutes!
