Below are some ideas to enrich your child's education at home.

Math:

*Practice counting to 100.

*Practice counting backwards beginning with any number to 100.

*Show your child coins and have them identify the coin and its value.

*Practice addition and subtraction facts.

Reading:

*Help your child read anything and everything!

   *Use picture clues to decode words.

   *Blend letter sounds to decode words.

   *Recognize our chunks and blends! (ph, st, ch, th, sh, ing, tr).

*Practice sight words and vocabulary words as often as possible. 

    *Have your child use them in a sentence.

    *Highlight the words in magazines, newspapers, and even cereal boxes

    *Make word scrambles using magnetic letters on the frig.
