MATH

Houghton Mifflin is the math series from which we currently teach.  It is very comprehensive and will address the following topics:

• Addition and subtraction facts to 12
• Read, write, order, and compare numbers to 100, place value
• Data, graphing, probability
• Geometric shapes, spatial sense, fractions, patterning
• Time and calendar
• Money
• Measurement
• Mental math, estimation, problem solving

Upon completion of each chapter, your child will have a math test.  Please review the math concepts and vocabulary words that are on the workbook pages sent home daily.  It may be helpful to save these pages (or make a list of the vocabulary words) in order to help your child study for the math tests.
