Meeting Opened: 7:36 pm
Attendance: Dr. Murphy, Debbie Jablonowski, Eileen Schroeder, Sunaina Mathur, Kathi Sidewitz, Jodi Kilbride, Maureen Kutzma, Erin Pinto, Lisa Zizzo, Stephanie Mignanelli

Secretary's Report - Kathi Sidewitz – September minutes presented – motion to accept the minutes by Jodi Kilbride, Eileen Schroeder seconded.
Treasurer's Report - Jodi Kilbride – Balance $5776.11
Corresponding Secretary's Report - Maureen Kutzma – PTA Mailings
Superintendent's Report - Dr. Murphy – Capital project update. Phase I will likely begin in late spring/early summer. Phase I consists of non-electrical, non-plumbing work such as Stokes roof, Sparke roof, Stokes basketball courts, HS floor. STEAM program in Stokes and MS off to a great start. Intramurals had good participation. Discussed garbage issue around new bleachers; hanging wastebaskets will be installed on the bleachers.
Boosters - Eileen Schroeder – 91 total, drew September (Elizabeth Flagler), October, (Diane Gulatti), November (Eileen Schroeder), and December (Karen Ciraldo) winners.
Tribune - Suzanne Heigel – 30 subscriptions
District Pictures - Current contract with Class Act up in June. Discussed looking at other companies. Dr. Murphy mentioned his daughter’s school uses Irvin Simon and they’re happy with them. Stephanie will look into inviting their rep to January council meeting.
New Signs for Elementary Buildings - Tabled
Council Fundraiser – Not doing Light the Night this year. Discussed hosting a Fun Run/Color Run. Possibly charge $35 per participant, $13 goes to the company who runs the event. Participants receive bandanna, t-shirt. Limit to K-6 students only? More information will be brought to the January meeting.
Unit Reminders – Council Dues, Insurance Certificates, Budget (PTSA & PTA voted and passed at respective meetings).
Committees to be Filled
District Dinner – Thursday, April 27th – Still need chair. Kathi will contact Hartigan Manor to book the date.
Meet the Candidate – Tuesday, May 9th (if needed). Still need chair.
SEPTA – Meeting had low turnout, good presentation by Mr. Conklin
PTA – Book Fair upcoming, clothing sale success – ran 2nd offering, low turnout for Parents for Megan’s Law meeting
PTSA – Rachel’s Challenge community event parent turnout was terrible, Homecoming clothing sales almost $3K, Grandma’s Pie fundraiser just over $3K, Book Fair 11/21 & 11/22, Taxes with the accountant, Holiday Shoppe 12/3 – opportunities for MMS Student Leaders and NJHS students to earn credits for helping vendors set up and break down.
Election Day November 8 – No School

Veteran’s Day November 11 – No School
BOE Meeting November 16 @ 7:30 pm – Karopczyc
Thanksgiving Recess November 24-25 – No School
