Welcome to 3-3! It has been so nice meeting some of you and seeing some familiar faces. We had a wonderful first couple days of school.  The students are adjusting well to third grade and making new friends. I’m sad to write there is no snack in third grade as lunch is at 11:30. Please make sure your child has a big breakfast.

Today, I’ve sent home your child’s work folder. This folder will contain your child’s weekly work and tests. This folder will go home every Friday. Please take a few minutes and review these papers. It will allow you to see how your child is progressing.  Please sign the enclosed sheet and date it so, I know you are aware of your child’s progress. Please return the folder on Monday. Also on Monday, there will be new information on Myteacherpages.com. It will state what our class will be working on and when tests will be given. You can also access this website site through the St. Pius X page (www.stpius-x.com), and click  my name and 3-3.

Monday we will begin our first story in Reading. There will be a Spelling and Reading test on Friday. Please read the newsletter on our webpage for more information.

I apologize in advance for the inconvenience third grade students do need an art box. It can be the same size as last year. A small canvas bag would be great.

Thank you for sending in notes about how your child will be getting home. This has been helpful to me, as I learn where each child will go at the end of the day. If at anytime during the year changes occur, please let me know.  Also when sending in money, please place it in an envelope and label it with your child’s name and what it’s for.

Communication between us is invaluable. Please feel free to contact me in your child’s planner, email me, or call me at school. My email address is cmilano@stpius-x.com.  I’m enjoying working with your child and look forward to working with you.

   Sincerely,
