 3-3 Class News for the week of  November 16,  2009

 

    

     Report cards have been rescheduled to go home on Tuesday. I look forward to our meeting on Thursday, the 19th. 

 

Reading:This week we will be working on the story "Spiders at Work." 

Comprehension concept will be to draw conclusions and how to distinguish between important information and unimportant information.

                 

 Language Arts: We will review singular and plural possessive nouns, antonyms and synonyms.

 

Math:The students will relate addition and subtraction fact families and missing addends. They will review subtraction multiples of 10, 100, and 1000.

 

Religion: We have reviewed the chapter. There will be an open book test on Tuesday. Our discussions will be on how Jesus teaches us to love and students will understand that Jesus teaches the God News by the authority of God. 

 

Science: The students in 3-3 love science and animals! This week they will learn to classify animals based on their structures. The science test will be next week.

 

Reminders: 

                    *Book Fair is going on this week in the library   

             

                    * No school Thursday, Nov. 19th  report card conferences. I'm looking forward to seeing you. 

                        There was a reminder in your child's work folder on Friday, the13th.
