HOMEWORK POLICY

Homework is to be completed by 7:30 the next morning unless otherwise noted.  Late assignments must be turned by 7:30 the next day to receive credit.  Ten percentage points will be deducted from the score of any late assignment.  Late assignments will only be accepted while we are still working in that chapter.  After taking a test, assignments from that chapter will be not be graded. Students who meet set criteria for good behavior and consistent work habits will earn rewards.

Expected Behavior

The student will raise his/her hand before talking

The student will respect the staff, students, and school property

The student will maintain his/her work area in a tidy manner

The student will be ready for each class period by having homework and  appropriate supplies

The student will be in his/her seat and ready to begin class when the bell rings

The student will keep hands, feet and objects to himself/herself

The student will maintain an appropriate voice level in the hallway, bathroom, and cafeteria

The student will adhere to the school dress code

Consequences for Inappropriate Behavior

1.  Student receives a check for each late assignment and inappropriate behavior.  Each check lowers the conduct grade one level. ( A+ to an A )

2.  If a student earns a conduct grade of a D+ or lower, student must serve a detention the following Monday or Tuesday.

3.  Teachers may request a conference if a behavior problem persists.
