We had two new additions to our classroom this week! A new projector and laptop!! We are using them to learn new information through power points, and to play review games. We are so excited! Have a great weekend!

WOW is what I have to say about our safety posters. The kids did a wonderful job on them, and their presentations blew me away. They were so confident for this having been their first presentations. Great, great job guys!!

Thanks to everyone for making my birthday on Wednesday so special! The kids surprised me by singing "Happy Birthday" to me. I received many nice cards, homemade and store bought. I also received several nice gifts. You guys are great!! BONUS: This week I will be giving bonus points for selling Auction tickets. Each student will receive 1 bonus point (up to 10) for each ticket sold. You may choose which subject to apply the points to, so get selling!!!

Can you believe that it is already the end of February? This year is certainly flying by! I don't think that I have told you in while how wonderful your children are, so your children are WONDERFUL!! We are back in full swing and looking forward to Christmas. We began our Christmas Around the World Unit yesterday. Here it is: Write a sentence using 3 of your spelling words. It can be a silly sentence. Turn it in by next Friday and get 5 points on your spelling test!

Have I told you lately that our second graders are TERRIFIC!! We are having so much fun. Kids, demonstrate to your parents how to end a command or an exclamation (just like we did in class!).
BONUS QUESTION: Freddie Frog went to the pond to catch flies at 3:30. Eddie and Skippy went to the pond 1 1/2 hours later. What time did Eddie and Skippy go to the pond? Write your answer on a sheet of paper and turn it in by Friday for 5 bonus points on you math test!

What a wonderful class I have this year!! Our first two days were great. The students have picked up rules and procedures quickly. I am looking forward to a great year!! Buckaroos, get plenty of rest this weekend, because we will hit the learning trail on Monday.
