The Curiosita Club The Curiosita Club

THE CURIOSITA CLUB

Curiosita = An insatiable curious approach to life and an unrelenting quest for continuous learning.

This club will help you achieve the goal:  The student will demonstrate initiative in pursing knowledge and exploring ideas.

The purpose of this club is to research topics of interest and learn something new.  You MUST memorize the Curiosita item.  You can use your notes to study from and quiz each other, but you must recite the actual challenge.  When you are ready, turn in the Curiosita challenge number and answers.  I will call on you to recite your learned facts and review your answers.  If you do not pass the first time, you can try again on another day.  I know this will be a great learning experience for you.  The goal is to complete at least one challenge every week.

You can print a copy of the challenges on the Curiosita Club link.

Click on the links to the left to view the different topics.

This club is to challenge our thinking, develop research skills, and practice our memorization skills.  Students will learn about different topics, write down the answers, and then turn in their answers to Mrs. Barnes.  We will then schedule a time for you to present your answers.

Once a student masters a challenge a star will be placed on a chart according to the topic answered.  Once a student earns 15 stars he/she becomes a member of The Curiosita Hall of Fame.

15 stars - Bronze

25 stars - Silver

35 stars Gold

50 stars - Diamond

65+ - Platinum

There is an addtional page for 6th graders to use.

Some  questions could change or be added during the school year.
