My Teaching Goals

  • To create a classroom environment where Catholic beliefs and prayer are instilled and modeled for all students.
  • To encourage students to assume responsibility for their actions in school and for choices concerning their well-being.
  • To provide an environment for academic success and responsibility.
  • To provide an environment for leadership, cooperation and friendships among students and faculty.
  • To provide open communication among student, home, teacher and school.
  • To promote school spirit and community service projects.
  • To provide for the transition of students to a new grade level.
  • To provide students the opportunity to be more aware of current events in our nation and world.
  • To promote efficient study skills and a desire to be life-long learners.

 

Teacher Information

I was born and raised in Lancaster graduating from Sacred Heart School, Lancaster Catholic High School and Millersville State University. I began teaching at St. Mary's Catholic School in 1980 and have continued teaching at Resurrection Catholic School after the consolidation in 1991. I have been married to Dave for 29 years. We have one daughter, Kristy, who is a graduate of Resurrection Catholic School, Lancaster Catholic High School and New York University. We also have a cat named Chaselyn.

I serve or have served on the following Committees: Middle States Steering Committee, Technology Committee, and Crisis Management Committee. I also am a teacher inductee mentor, lead teacher for the Elementary building, Homework Club moderator, a RCS Relay for Life team member, and a member of the RCS Prayer Chain.
