Our Varsity Girls' Team finished second in the Lancaster Girls CYO League. They won the St. Leo's Tournament, placed second in the St. Theresa Tournament and the Lancaster/York Girls CYO Tournament.

Our Boys' Varsity finished 30-9. They finished first in the Lancaster Boys CYO League. They won the St. Theresa Tournament, and Holiday Basketball Tournament at St. Joseph, York, and placed second in the St. Leo's Tournament, Lourdes Regional Tournament in Shamokin, the Round Robin Tournament and the Diocesan Tournament.

The RCS Cheerleaders won the Round Robin Cheer Competition-Spirit Award.

Description

A very active basketball and cheerleading program involves students from Resurrection Catholic School and the CCD program at the sponsoring parishes for boys and girls, grades 3-8. The various levels of teams compete in the Lancaster Christian Youth Organization League. The season runs from the end of November through mid-February. The practices are generally mid-week at either St. Anthony's or St. Joseph's or St. Mary's. The upper levels also compete in an annual tournament. Click HERE for this year's basketball schedule.

The fee per child to participate will cover insurance that is required by the Diocese and the loan of uniforms. Fund-raisers help defray any additional operating costs. Parents, following an interview by the Athletic Association and school administration, can volunteer to coach. There is also room for parent involvement at other levels of the Athletic Program.

RCS logo basketballs are available in men's (NBA) size and women's (28.5) size. They are indoor/outdoor balls that display our school colors and school name. This opportunity is being offered so that the children can have their own Resurrection Saints basketball for only $10.
