Weekly Reading Homework Ideas

 

 

1.  Use yarn or string to form your word.

2.  Print your word with your fingers in flour, salt, or sugar.

3.  See how many times you can write your word in one minute.

4.  Write one sentence using your word.

5.  Use your favorite snack to shape your word and then eat it!

6. Tape record yourself saying and spelling your word.

7.  Use colored chalk to write your word on the sidewalk.

8.  Spread peanut butter on bread and use raisins to form your word.

9.  Stamp your word.

10.  Form your word out of alphabet cereal.

11.  Use crayons or markers to copy your word in as many color combinations as           possible.

12.  Draw your favorite character saying your word.

13.  Paint your word.

14.  Find the letters in your word in the newspaper.  Cut out and glue them to form your word.

15.  Use beans, pasta, or rice to spell your word.

16.  Read a letter from the mail and look for your word.

17.  Write 3 or more words that rhyme with your word.

18.  Fold a sheet of paper in fourths and write your word in each square.  Decorate.

19.  Write a letter to someone using your word.

20. Practice in your own creative way!
