SONG REVIEW

Using the provided sheet students will fill out the required information on their chosen SCHOOL APPROPRIATE SONG.   Students will present this review to the class

ARTICLE/MEDIA

In this project students will choose an article from the internet, a newspaper, magazine, or television broadcast having to do with Music of Today.  Students will present the article to the class as well as a minimum one page report on the artist that they have chosen in order to better acquaint themselves and the class with said artist.

8^th Grade Project #3

VIDEO REVIEW

In this project students will choose a SCHOOL APPROPRIATE VIDEO to write/present a one page summary.  The summary should include whether the video is an accurate representation of the music.  It should also include aesthetic qualities such as lighting and choice of colors to represent mood.  In addition a one page summary of the musical artist history should be included/presented (2 pages total)

8^th Grade Project #4

COMMERCIAL/TV THEME REVIEW

In this project students will choose a commercial or television theme to review and write/present a one page summary of.  Students should include factors to what makes the music effective as a way for the company to make people remember their product including beat, time, color, mood etc.
