Scholastic Graphic Organizers for Reading Comprehension - These can be printed for students or can be completed online then printed.

  • Also note the "Book Wizard"  at the top of the Scholastic site which allows you to enter a book title and bring up lesson plans for many books. Many, although not all, contain suggestions for high level student activities. The drop-down "Books and Authors" section also has some good resources.
21st Century Literacies - Multiple lessons which require the reader to create, evaluate, and assign meaning to words, symbols, text, artwork, and data in today's world. Not only would this be good for language arts classes, but might be an engaging set of activities for Enrichment classes.
