Personal/Social Health Counseling Services Though most of what we do is to provide academic guidance Ms. Dingle and Mrs. Fulton are also there to support you in your personal/social counseling needs. Ms. Dingle's specializes in your academic but has received training in at-risk and crisis issues/situations as well as being a certified health instructor. Mrs. Fulton, also a health teacher, is our certified counselor with training in many areas of at-risk, crisis and mental health issues. Both guidance staff support each other in their expertise and students should see whomever they're most comfortable with. For non-immediate crisis please make and appointment with either staff member. If it is an immediate issue or situation please come directly to guidance and one of us will be quickly available for you. The County School-Based Health Department also has a mental health counselor not associated with the high school. You can seek them out on your own or through a referral from the guidance office. Their clinic is located between Mr. Coopers and Ms. Tuttle's classrooms outside of the gym area. Office hours are usually one day a week, look for the posting in the guidance office. We strive to maintain confidentiality with students unless we become concerned that your thoughts, attitudes and/or behaviors have the potential to be illegal, dangerous, you may hurt yourself, someone else, or someone is hurting you. In those cases we may contact parents, guardians and/or appropriate social agencies.
