All About Me

Hi! I am very excited to start my third year at Mark DeLay! My teaching career started at the American School in Lugano, Switzerland, where I taught English and Swimming. Since then I taught 3 years at Chicago's Lincoln Park Preparatory, was director of an Aurora pre-school, and taught first grade for one year at Prairie elementary school in Naperville.
I graduated from Indiana University where I was on the women's varsity golf team. I also have a masters degree in education administration and supervision. I am currently working on my English as a second language endorsement.
I grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and yes I am a true Michigan fan- GO BLUE! My older sister and her husband live in Seattle with my nephew Drew (5) and niece Izzy (2). I met my husband while teaching in Lugano. He speaks fluent french and teaches at Naperville Central high school.
This summer was action packed for us. We traveled to Colorado, the UP of Michigan, and I took two ESL classes. The picture above is Mr. Whitt and I in front of the Louvre in Paris, France last summer.
