Welcome to The Learning Center (TLC) |
The Learning Center (TLC) offers academic support to students in all grades. Staffed by Sacred Heart Academy faculty and the TLC Coordinator, the Center supports and reinforces learning skills in a comfortable and nurturing environment.
Students are assigned to TLC to receive assistance in making the transition to high school or if their GPA or average for a quarter was below 2.0. Other than during the lunch periods when tutoring in math and science takes place, only students assigned to TLC should be there.
Specifically, students in TLC work on improving study skills, note-taking, time management and organization, test-taking, and other study habits necessary for making a smooth transition to high school in this college-preparatory setting.
