I believe that art should be a vehicle for individual artistic discovery and understanding.

 I challenge each student to think, to ask questions and be independently. I inspire every student to use artistic vocabulary and terms. I teach my students not only the skills they need to be successful when creating art but the steps and the qualities of developing their own way to relate to the world through Art.

My highest priority when I teach is for my students to be able to learn as an artist both performing and visual. 

 Reguarding the Art section of my profession the students learn about a variety of Artists, time periods, cultures and customs of other peoples.

Reguarding my Music program it is similiar to art in the means that we discover songwriters, view performaces of dancers and dance. We participate in music notation, insturment sound discovery as well as playing various rhythm instruments such as Drums, maracas, rhythm sticks, Bongos, Triangles, Tambourines, Egg shakers, claves and more. We write our own songs and perform for the Halloween party in classrooms as well as two concerts yearly a Christmas and a Spring concert.
