Book Projects

Directions, Rubrics, and other information will be sent home at the beginning of the new month to help students prepare to complete their project. All projects are due on the last school day of each month.

October	Mystery	Story Skeleton Activity More information to come.
November	Fantasy	Advertisement Design a poster to hang in a local store that will persuade customers to buy the book you read. You will also create a sales pitch (at least one paragraph) describing the book to customers.
January	Adventure	Puppet & Interview Make a puppet of the main character of your book. You will also create a character web of your character to give your viewing audience an understanding of who your character is.
February	Biography Book	Wax Museum We will have a “Wax Museum” Day. Children will “dress up” as the main character and pretend to be that person giving a report on that person’s life. You will also create a timeline with five major events from the person’s life.
March	Book of Choice	Project of Choice You will be designing your own project and rubric.
April	Poetry Book	Poem Book Design an attractive poem booklet. Some poems will be written by you and others will be selected from poetry books. More details to follow.
