C.A.S.T. Control Yourself Act Respectfully Show Citizenship Take Responsibility I use a positive behavior reinforcement system in first grade through the use of tickets. Students earn tickets for positive behaviors including following directions, showing respect, being a thoughtful friend, displaying responsible citizenship, etc. When poor choices are made, tickets will be taken away as a consequence. At the end of each week, the students will count their tickets and be able to purchase items from the class store. The children LOVE this system and I have found it to be very successful in our classroom community. If you have any questions about our behavior system, please do not hesitate to ask. Each child is responsible for conferencing with me and determining what type of behavior he/she displayed and how much effort he/she put forth during academic times. The date on the calendar will be colored with the corresponding colors. Please check your child's behavior calendar daily. You may contact me with any questions or concerns at any time.
