One of the main ways I will integrate technology in our classroom is through the use of my interactive Promethean whiteboard. It is an innovative, exciting tool designed to address the challenge of students who live in a technological world. It involves a large screen projection system, a multitude of internet resources and an interactive board surface that is readily available for both students and teachers. Promethean technology enables teachers to create, customize and integrate text, images, quizzes and tests, web, video and audio content, so they can more easily capture students' attention and accommodate different learning styles. Promethean transforms the student role from passive information receivers to active learners. I am thrilled to have the Promethean board in our classroom this year. The board, software and training were graciously donated by Inacomp Data and Voice Systems. I am looking forward to learning, along with the children, as we experience our second year of having an interactive white board in our classroom.
