Deer Point Elementary bases the "Angler of the Month" program on research done by Art Costa, which he calls "Habits of Mind." These "habits" are character traits that students can learn and take with them for a lifetime. Each month focuses on a different habit or habits, with the ultimate goal of incorporating ALL of the habits into a student's belief system.
