Need help with Math?  Mr. Hildebran is available after school and at the Rising Sun High School Library.  See Mr. Hlidebran's message below for more info:

Hello Parents –

If your child ever needs to stay after school for help, I am usually available even though I also coach football.  The only day I am not available is Monday.  This is because I either have a double practice or there is a faculty/department meeting.  I would normally be available until 3:10 and even later depending on the location of the junior varsity or varsity game.

I have also decided to provide assistance at the library in Rising Sun.  This extra help is 100% free.  To see what dates these evening sessions will occur, please visit my website (http://www.myteacherpages.com/webpages/GHildebran/) to view the “Math Help” calendar.  The days are subject to change but they should not unless an emergency arises.

There is no need to make an appointment.  Your child just needs to arrive at the library with their math book, notebook and pencil.  If they have their own calculator, that would be great.  If not, I will have a few calculators for the kids to use.  I have done this in the past and I can tell you not to expect 1-on-1 help the entire time your child is there.  I have had anywhere from 1 to 10+ kids show up on any given night.  Based on the kids’ interest in receiving help this year, I am going to guess the number will be 10+ on most nights.

  1.  What can your child do while at the library?
  2.  Get help with homework
  3. Get help with concepts they do not fully understand
  4. Get help with anything else
  5. Make test corrections if he or she plans on retaking a test

This has proved to be successful in the past and I am sure it will be again this year.  They do not have to stay the entire time.  They can get there whenever they want, but please keep in mind the library closes at 8 pm.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
