Central Scholarship Bureau’s Online Application Deadline is May 15!

Central Scholarship Bureau offers students packages of up to $10,000 in any combination of grants and interest-free loans, but time is running out! Our application deadline is Friday, May 15.

Our loans are completely interest-free and fee-free for the life of the loan, with a repayment term of 10 years following a 6-month grace period after graduation. We are also still accepting applications for our many grant programs. We offer a grant for every student, from talented freshmen to graduate teaching students to students attending vocational school. Full details for each grant program are listed at our website, www.centralsb.org, along with basic eligibility requirements.

Our website is also where you’ll find our application, which is online-only. All applications must be received by midnight on May 15; all supporting documents must be postmarked by May 31.

CSB offers a number of scholarships and grants, as well as opportunities for interest-free loans. Students must only submit one application to be considered for all of the programs for which they are eligible.

Details about each scholarship program can be found at our website, under the “Scholarships and Grants” pull-down menu. Baseline eligibility requirements for the interest-free loan can be found here.

We appreciate all of your patience as we worked to get the application up and running, and look forward to announcing over $1 million in new awards in July!

Boston University

Scholarships

Boston University believes that high-achieving students should be encouraged and recognized for their efforts and abilities. For this reason, the University is committed to offering a variety of scholarships to entering freshmen. Most of these merit awards are academic in nature, and some are awarded to talented athletes, performers, and artists.

There are several kinds of academic scholarships. Some are offered in specific areas of academic study. Some scholarships require that you be nominated by your high school; for others, you must apply directly. Students may be nominated or may apply for multiple scholarships at the same time.

For many scholarships you need not apply at all. The University selects additional scholarship recipients based on their superior academic records.

Most merit-based awards do not require an application for financial aid. However, we strongly encourage all students who believe they may require some amount of financial aid in addition to their merit award to complete the forms required for need-based aid. If you receive a merit award and have applied for need-based financial aid, you will be considered for any need-based financial aid for which you qualify beyond the amount of the merit award.

Interested students applying to Boston University are encouraged to apply for the following schoalrships:

  • Trustee Scholarship - Boston University's most prestigious scholarship recognizes outstanding academic performance and leadership ability.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship - acknowledges students who have embraced the ideals of Dr. King through academic accomplishment, leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to social justice and community involvement.

  • Alexander Graham Bell Scholarship - recognizes students with strong math and science abilities who have the potential to thrive at BU's College of Engineering.
All applications, essays, and required forms are due by December 1, 2008. To learn more about the requirements of these scholarships and other merit awards offered by BU, please go to our website.
