| Course Selection |

Registration for the 2010 – 11 school year has officially begun. All week and over the course of the next week I will be meeting with students to review their courses and credits earned from the current school year and help them make course selections for next school year.
During our registration appointments students will:
1. Receive an updated credit check with current courses, as well as, preliminary course selections for next year. Students will be able to see how their selected courses meet their graduation requirements.
2. Receive an Education Planning Guide. This book is a comprehensive outline of the CCPS graduation requirements, clusters and pathways. Information on college planning and course descriptions for every course offered by CCPS are included as well.
3. Complete their 2010-11 registration form. Students will register for 9 credits and provide at least 1 (up to 3) alternate course selections for next year. Generally, course selections will include: 1 - English, Math, Science and Social Studies course, PE elective, Health II, the next sequential course in their chosen Foreign Language and 3 pathway options/electives.
4. Receive guidance on which cluster and pathway is best for their interests and abilities and which courses would be most appropriate for their programming both here at RSHS and in preparation for the next stage of their education.
Students are welcome and encouraged to bring their registration materials home and review their selections prior to submitting their final registration form. Registration forms are due to the Guidance Office by Friday March 19th.
