Announcements

The National Honor Society will be holding tutoring sessions each Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 pm in room 200. Students are not required to sign up, simply just show up to any session and tutors, members of NHS, will be available.

New Ashley Family Workshops

We are very pleased to announce two new opportunities at Father Martin’s Ashley. Our new Family Workshops -- “Dealing with a Loved One’s Relapse” and “Couples Enhancement” Workshops -- created to meet the requests of family members like you. The Ashley Family Workshops are open to the community and intended to educate and provide guidance to family members who have a loved one with a substance abuse addiction.

Children and Youth Program

The Rainbow of Hope Children and Youth Program is designed to help children, ages 6 to 14, who live in a home with addiction learn that what has happened isn’t their fault, that they’re not alone and that there are other children who have had similar experiences.

To register for the program contact Tracey Nelson at 800 799-4673 or 410 273-2227 or tnelson@fmashley.com.

Children's Program Recovery Enrichment Days In the spirit of our adult RED program, we are inviting children who have completed the original Children and Youth Program back to Ashley for “refresher” days on:

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Saturday, May 15, 2010

Saturday, August 21, 2010

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Sessions will focus on self-care, self-esteem, good decision making skills and healthy coping tools. The sessions are interactive and fun.

They are run by counselors with expertise in working with children and addiction.

Family Wellness Program Now Open to All

Starting now, the Father Martin’s Ashley three-day Family Wellness Program is open to all families struggling with alcoholism or drug addiction, not just the families of patients at Father Martin’s Ashley.

For years we had requests by families who wanted to attend our program but didn’t have a loved-one enrolled as an inpatient in our facility.

We are thrilled that we are now able to offer participation to anyone who wants to learn more about alcoholism and drug addiction and how it affects the family and the addict. Whether a family has a loved one in treatment at another facility, or outpatient center, or their loved-one has not yet sought treatment, our educational and counseling program can help the family get the support, education and help they need to chart a path forward toward a better life where addiction isn’t controlling their lives. The Father Martin’s Ashley Family Wellness Program is held every weekend.

For more information or to register for the program contact Tracey Nelson at 800 799-4673 or 410 273-2227, or tnselson@fmashley.com.
