Homework

In our classroom, homework every night is readingJ  Your child will have a Reading Section as part of the agenda.  You may use this section to document the title of the book your child is working on and minutes read each night.  In the box that says Pages Read, you may document the minutes your child reads.   

As it accompanies our lessons, we will sometimes have math homework.  I encourage you to review this with your child as this will foster a deeper understanding of our curriculum.  If your child is having difficulty with a certain assigned homework, please let me know as this will alert me that your child might need further instruction in that area.  

We will also have special projects that might require at home preparation and work.  You will have advance notice on these activities and plenty of time to accomplish the tasks. 

Part of weekly homework will include studying for spelling tests. 

Overall, we will not have a significant amount of written homeworkJ
