Mrs. Herrmann is starting her 14th year at Our Lady of Victory. Before her O.L.V. days, Mrs. Herrmann attended Seton High School, was very active in athletics, Student Council and clubs. (See if you can find her picture on the Athletic Wall of Fame!) After Seton, she received an athletic grant-in- aid to play volleyball at the University of Cincinnati. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Education, she coached volleyball at Churchill High School, Livonia MI, Madonna College in Michigan, St. Ursula High School, and then as the varsity head coach at Oak Hills High School for 12 successful seasons. Mrs. Herrmann taught PE and Health for 3 years at Oak Hills H.S. before moving to C.O. Harrison for 2 years. Staying at home to raise her sons came to an end when the Victory job opened up. "My favorite part of teaching P.E. is meeting our students as first graders, or now kindergarteners, and watching them grow up for the next 7 or 8 years. I am amazed at the wonderful young people they transform into! I hope to impress upon them, before they leave here, that there are so many activities they can do to stay healthy for the rest of their lives", she says. Mrs. Herrmann has 3 sons, 2 of whom went to O.L.V. She has spent a lot of time over the years watching her boys play soccer at the club and high school levels, and enjoys going to see the Victory kids play too! "I feel lucky to be a part of the Victory community. What a caring, supportive school we have! This is a special place."
