Dear Parents,

DISCOVER Book Drive- What a success!  We surpassed 1,000 books, and we will be traveling to Marina West Elementary School in Oxnard tomorrow to deliver the books and read with the students.  The Ventura County Star is coming out to cover the event!  Thanks to all who participated!

To tell you a little about myself, I have had a wonderful 17 year career teaching sixth grade!  I taught in Dallas, where I grew up, for five years before my husband and I moved to California.  I then taught at Banyan for five years, Colina for five years, and now this will be my third year at Sequoia!  I took a few years off in between Colina and Sequoia to have my sons, Luke (age 9) and Nathan (age 6).  In our spare time, we love to camp, play at the beach, and travel.  I am very excited to be a part of the Discover program, and I look forward to meeting all of my new students and keeping in touch with my former greats!
