The ArtSource Summer Institute is a 5 and 1/2 day intensive cohort of 20-24 people
We address ourselves as Teachers, Artists, Learners, and Leaders.
In addition to time in the mountains, time with each other, and time making art;
we will focus on writing and text, and weaving technology throughout.
We will also incorporate a variation of Pecha-Kucha as a tool for sharing our own practices. Featuring:
Dr. Linney Wix of the art education program at U of New Mexico will be with us for 3 days. "Image and Imagination," working with looking at, talking and especially writing about the art we and our students make. (Most recently organized the exhibition and authored the book: "Through a Narrow Window: Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and Her Terezin Students.")
Rebecca Di Domenico: A Boulder artist most recently seen at the Contemporary Art Museum with the installation "Pellucid," a cave created with mica and butterfly wings.
Lauren Lehman on Leadership.
Cynthia Barnes facilitating a "Circle Mural" in collaboration with the Eagle Rock students.
