Good luck on growing your hair. I gave up mid-summer on that goal.

I was impressed by the standing ovation for the teachers, too. I don't think my staff has ever gotten one of those, so now I have a new goal. :-)

First Day Jitters is also the book I read on the first day; our first day was Monday the 10th. The scary quiet ended about halfway through Thursday. Ha! I have 27 this year, so I'm a little jealous...happy for Sam though. He is super excited.

ORIGINAL POST Mrs. Chastain's Second Grade Blog Great First Day I just had an amazing first day of school!  I love my class already!  They followed directions very well today and were quiet all day.  It was kind of scary!  I hope this is not the calm before the storm!  Ha ha!  We wrote a story about our summer vacations and I was amazed at the great writing I was seeing.  I saw good use of adjectives, good catchy introductions, and good endings.  Hopefully tomorrow, and the rest of the year will be just as good. « back | comment »
