American Idol of the Week

Each week I will pick a star student.  Star students in my class are called "American Idols of the Week".  During the reining week, the student may bring in a hobby, talent, or collection to share with  the class.  It is a great way for students to learn more about each other and to respect each others talents. In previous years, I've had students bring in collections of stuffed animals, legos, dolls, coins, baseball cards, ect.. For talents, students have brought in instruments to play, videos of them doing a sport, trophies from sports, singing, dancing, gymnastics, etc..  Some students also send in a treat on the day they share their talent, but a treat is NOT required.
