Before School Clubs – Susan Bryan

Science program began 9/30 for 4th graders and will continue for 3 more sessions until March.  We had almost 50, 4th graders sign-up so far.  Spanish (3rd), Fitness (3,4th), are slotted to begin in early January and run for 8 weeks.  A Book Club for 2nd grade is targeted to begin late October.  Due to student-teacher ratio, most of the club rosters will be determined by a lottery.

Box Tops for Education - Carol Trumbauer

Carol Trumbauer is the box tops coordinator for the 2008-09 school year. Box tops are being collected in individual classrooms. Monthly prizes will be awarded by random drawing from each classroom. End of the year ice cream party for the grade with the most box tops submitted by April.

Fall Festival - Francine Stanley & Lori Barnett

The 8th Annual “Fall Festival” will be held on Friday, October 31st.  It will be an all-day event with an exciting and educational assembly.  At this time we are in the process of finalizing fall festival details.  An email will be sent between Oct 7 and 8th asking for donations.  A reply is being asked to be received by Friday, Oct 10th and confirmation of the item needed will be sent the week of the 12th.  Assignment for the day will be emailed around the 18th and again a response to the email will be requested.  A fun filled day is expected but a lot of changes will take place this year to accommodate construction.  A science experiment has been added to the day as well as previous favorites of the students: craft, story time, an assembly, class room time and snack.  Stay tuned for more exciting info coming home soon.

Gif of Giving - Debbie Inhoff

We have been getting requests for the clothing sizes of the children in need which is wonderful.  We can not thank you enough for the help and concern of our fellow Weisenberg families.    We are still in desperate need of food.  One of the churches Mrs. McGrath works with was able to help the month of September so the families had food.  However, it would be great if we could help with food also.  If everyone would send in one can of food we would have over 400 cans to help the families.  We are looking for anything that is not perishable, like stew, vegetables, potatoes, canned meats, max and cheese instant potatoes, rice, soups, spaghetti sauce, and fruits to name a few things.

KidStuff Coupon Book - Vicki Lapid & Jennifer Howantiz

KidStuff book sale is complete.  We raised $4,150 this year.  We still have a large # of missing books, so if you have not handed in your book or $25, please do so ASAP.  Thank you for your support of this fundraiser!
