Book Drive – Vicki Lapid & Amy Costa Scheduled for the same week as Art Expo – 1st week of May. Look for more information next month.
Box Tops for Education - Carol Trumbauer - Will provide updated count at meeting.
Children’s Mitten Tree - Sue McGorry & Amy Musselman – Event Completed. Elementary Challenge - Eileen Haddad & Kathy Smith Starting the planning process for shirts and bandanas. Further update at February meeting. Fall Festival (Fall 2008)- Francine Stanley, Lori Barnett Theme will be based on the program. Inquires have been sent to Wildlands Conservancy, DaVinci Center and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary for potential programs. Anyone with any contacts please let Lori know at labar@ptd.net.
Family Night - Debby Keba (Event Coordinator) Event date: Friday, January 25, 2008 from 6:30 to about 8:45 PM at Weisenberg. Entertainment: Linda Holliday (ventriloquist & magician) was wonderful! Very entertaining, funny and full of energy. Lots of door prizes and Chinese Auction prizes made the children happy too. We offered a great selection of refreshments (all the favorites) at great prices. Parking/security all went well with the parking lot at Waste Management available and lit up. Crossing the street was made safer thanks to our construction company for lending up some flashing lights. The security company also brought a vehicle with flashing lights to aid in the safety of our families crossing the street. Two of our coordinators are moving on next year. A huge THANK YOU to Louise Sorensen (auctions) and Christine Hendricks (refreshments) for their years of dedication to Family Night. It’s volunteers like these women that work diligently behind the scenes to make Family Night a spectacular event for Weisenberg families. Please offer your appreciation when you see them.
