Top 300 Latin Words - with and without meanings!  Check under "Worksheets & Handouts" Page on the left!

The primary objective of the Latin program at GCSD is to provide students with a lifelong appreciation and interest in the legacy of the Romans: the Latin language and culture, specifically as it relates to our society.  Study will include but not be limited to: English and Latin grammar, vocabulary, derivatives, culture and mythology.

As we study Latin and the culture of the Romans, we keep in mind these essential questions:  What lessons can we take from the Romans to enrich our lives today?  What happens when two cultures meet?  How are we transformed by our study of Roman language and culture?  What technological or engineering advancement of the Romans has most directly affected your life?

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

In the words of your teacher, "Qui non est hodie cras in sterce erit!"

Loosely translated, it says "One who is not prepared today will be in big fat trouble tomorrow!"
