Dear Parents of VCS Students, We are working toward the same thing; the goal is the children. We believe that working together, parents and teachers and administration, is the way to really help the children. At the end of this school year, VICTOR CENTRAL PTSA will be going through a HUGE transition. All four people serving on the Executive Board will have to step down as their 2 year terms come to an end. The President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary positions all need to be filled in order for this PTSA to continue.
We are a valuable resource for parents in our district. Our PTSA is not a complicated one. Our main goals is to disseminate information to parents and to provide educational and fun programs for our children and families. Without some new parents, willing to get involved, our PTSA won’t be able to continue and that would be a shame and a huge loss in our district. PLEASE consider becoming involved by filling one of these open positions. Everyone has busy lives these days; children, homework, extracurricular activities, jobs, carpooling, etc. The parents who have been volunteering on the VICTOR CENTRAL PTSA executive board are no exception. I know that when I became involved, as an officer three years ago, I felt intimidated because I new to Victor. I felt hesitant to commit my time. I am glad that I chose to become involved, because I have learned so much about the opportunities in our own district and the value of PTSA in our district and at the state and national levels. Everyone involved in our PTSA works as a team and helps each other. If you decide to take one of these positions, you will have a mentor who will teach you the ropes and provide support to you as you learn the responsibilities of your position. If no nominees are found, we will be forced to begin dissolution proceedings of the VICTOR CENTRAL PTSA. PLEASE contact me if you have questions and/or are willing to volunteer. Please join us at our next meeting or read the minutes from our last meeting to see what you have missed. Check our calendar for the next date. To volunteer or join a committee, contact one of our officers. There are many different areas where you can make a difference. Why the PTSA? By being a member of this nationwide organization you are part of one voice that tells everyone you support the safety, well being, and education of all children. As a parent, you will also get to play an active role in your children's education. Membership in PTSA is open to all members of the community including parents, teachers and students.
