MEET THE TEACHER

Growing up in Medina was a wonderful experience.  I can remember playing outside with friends until dark, riding bicycles, and going to the ball park to watch baseball games.  There were 3 girls in my family, and I am the oldest.  I graduated from Medina High School in 1974 and from Union University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  I have taken graduate courses at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky and at Union University.  Last summer I began working on my masters degree through Nova Southeastern University.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, John. He is an assistant Quality Manager at TBDN in Jackson.  We have 2 beautiful daughters and one handsome son-in-law.  Beth is a 5th grade school teacher in Atlanta, Georgia where her husband, Paul, is in his last year of Pharmacy school.  Katie is a first year medical student at UT Medical School in Memphis. 

Our family is actively involved at Medina First Baptist Church. I teach an adult ladies Sunday School class and work with the children's program on Wednesday nights.

This is my 17th year of teaching and I get more excited every year!  I am looking forward to a great year!
