Students are researching the physical characteristics of local animals and how they help them adapt to their environment.

Students learned about plant adaptations using resurrection plants.  The resurrection plants lay in a dormant form for up to 50 years and when they come in contact with water open up within 6 hours.

Students continued to learn about animal and plant adaptations by participating in activities on the Wetland on Wheels trailer.
