Homework Policy

Reading

  • Read for 20 minutes every night.  Write the title of the book you read and 3 sentences that summarizes what you read.
  • Remember a summary only tells the most important events in the story.
  • Occasionally work will be sent home for homework.  On these nights it is not required to read and summarize.
  • Book projects will be sent home each month.
  • Incomplete homework will be done during recess and/or specials.

Math

  • Math homework will be sent home every night, with the exception of test days.
  • If a problem on math homework is too difficult for the student they should ask for help.  If the problem still can not be solved the student should have the person helping sign the problem to show they tried to get help.
  • If no help is available for homework the student should bring their homework to me immediately in the morning and ask for assistance.
  • On test days students are required to get their tests signed and return them the next day.
  • Incomplete homework will be done during recess and/or specials.
