Dear Parents and Students,

   Welcome back to another school year at PS 19. I hope that you had a fun summer and are now ready for a GREAT school year. The staff at PS 19 is excited to meet their students and to begin a fantastic academic adventure.

   Our custodial staff has done an amazing job prepping the school for the start of a new school year and our teachers have already begun the process of setting up and decorating their classrooms.

   As you may be aware, there have been several staff changes that have occurred over the summer. Mrs. Linda Paliotta, the school secretary, has retired. Mrs. Tracey Lynch will be taking over this role. Ms. Jessica Lorenzo has joined our staff as a Kindergarten teacher, replacing Mrs. Judy Williams who has also retired. Ms. Tracy Tyler has been hired as a 3rd grade teacher and Mr. Joseph Yarusso has accepted the position of Physical Education instructor, replacing Ms. Jeanne Gonzalez. I am confident that each new staff member will be a wonderful addition to an already dynamic and professional team.

   I am looking forward to meeting each of you at the start of school (the students return on September 8th). Please be sure to check our web page for updates and newsletters.
