Why is this man carrying a question mark?

Alpha is coming:  September 2009!

Opening night:  Thursday, Sept. 17th, 6:45 PM,

Parish School Cafeteria

Please read some comments of those who attended our Alpha sessions in 2008:

Strengthening my faith was something I had as a goal.  Alpha was a safe, entry level - basic, inviting, yet very invigorating and thrilling.  The sessions flew by!

I had felt I was not experiencing my faith the way God wanted me to and feeling a little lost.  I also wanted to set a good example for my kids.  Now, I have a sense of peace – I think I know what kind of person God wants me to be.  I also feel better equipped to teach my children about God.  I am just afraid of losing some of this after classes are over!

I have started reading the Bible on a regular basis – seldom did that before.

I was an “average” church attendee, but needed some answers about my life – past, present and future.  Alpha really opened up many new thoughts and questions about religion and beliefs as my role as an adult Catholic.

I wanted to grow in my spiritual life and knew Alpha would be a good way to do it.  I now read the bible (I try daily).

Alpha makes me a better person from the time I rise to the time I set!

I loved that I was not pressured to attend every session!

I really wasn’t spiritual.  I believed in God and went to church sometimes, but didn’t feel like I had a relationship with Jesus.  I feel closer now.  I pray more and am reading the Bible.  Also trying to be nicer to people and more patient.

I felt something missing from my life – God is not there sometimes.  With Alpha I learned how loving the Trinity is.  I will read the Bible more now.

I feel like I’m on a journey to learn more about my faith and Alpha was a very helpful course!  I feel happier and stronger!

I think of myself as a serious, well-informed Catholic Christian, but I learned a lot from Alpha.

I was searching for more meaning to my faith and a deeper relationship and commitment to the Lord.  Alpha has made me aware that I needed to stop my busy life and take more time to pray and listen to the Lord.

Alpha has made God more a friend and more approachable – a different way of looking at him.

Very much enjoyed Nicky Gumble’s talks.

I never realized how a course such as Alpha could impact human life!

I feel that I need God in my life more than before!

I wanted to hear about Christianity from a non-Catholic perspective.  Alpha has enhanced my spiritual life!

Alpha increased my faith as well as cleared up some questions!

I have been in the parish a long time and this is the first time I have met other people!

What I enjoyed most about Alpha was the fellowship and I have become more understanding about people who have problems with religion and belief in God.

I feel much closer to God!

Alpha has given me a closer connection to God.  It helped me to recognize God’s unconditional love for us.

Alpha helped me to understand the Holy Spirit.

Before starting the course, I was “uneducated” in the Christian faith.  I felt a change probably in the first week of the course.  I learned a lot and want to learn more.

I decided to attend Alpha to see if Christ is real.  I am now stronger in terms of Christian faith.
