<?xml version='1.0'?><rss version='2.0'><channel><title>Blog</title><link>http://teachersites.schoolworld.com/webpages/TGreen1/rss/blog_11478.xml</link><description>Teresa Green Blog</description><language>en-us</language><pubDate>Fri, 15 Jan 2010 06:03:17 GMT</pubDate><lastBuildDate>Fri, 15 Jan 2010 06:03:17 GMT</lastBuildDate><generator>School World</generator><item><title><![CDATA[Food, Food Allergies, & Snack]]></title><link><![CDATA[]]></link><description>Questions have been asked about food substitutions for snack.&amp;nbsp; These are almost always allowed.&amp;nbsp; Food allergies for our class have been posted.&amp;nbsp; We do have children with peanut allergies which could be life threatening.&amp;nbsp; We also have other allergies tree nuts, eggs, and garlic.&amp;nbsp; Most parents have provided alternative snacks for these children but our children usually prefer to eat the same as their friends.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Specific questions/thoughts are:&lt;br&gt;1) substitute Soy butter for almond butter &lt;br&gt;2) ground flax seed mixed with 3 T water can be substituted for 1 egg in baking - so I read.&amp;nbsp; Has anyone tried this?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Please share information about where to shop, and what other substitutions would be good for us to implement to keep our children safe and well fed!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description><pubDate><![CDATA[2010-01-15 01:03:00.0]]></pubDate><guid><![CDATA[230967]]></guid></item></channel></rss>
