Grades and Assignments Here is how your grades will be weighted in my grade book. 1 grade: - Supplies - I will check your supplies throughout the 9 weeks.
- Repaso/Bell work – You will have a daily bell work called repaso, which means “review”. At the beginning of class, you will complete the bellwork and we will check it together for a grade and turn it in.
- Daily work – You will do worksheets, bookwork, listening activities, and video activities. I expect you to participate in and complete all assignments during class time.
- Partner activities – You will be working with partners on different activities. You will lose points on partner activities if…
- You don’t do the activity correctly and you finish too early.
- You are out of your seat without permission during the activity.
- You are doing other things besides the activity.
- You are not doing your share of the work or you are copying from your partner.
- You are using English instead of Spanish
2 grades: - Quizzes – There will be a quiz over each section of the chapter we complete.
- Vocabulario notes – You will write vocabulary notes for each section of vocabulary we complete. Your vocabulario notes will be your study guide for all quizzes and tests. You will keep your vocabulario notes in your folder or notebook. At the end of the 9 weeks, you will turn them in.
4 grades: - Tests – There will be a big test at the end of each chapter over the material that we have covered in class.
Other important grade information: - "No name" papers will be given a "zero" and thrown in the trash.
- Assignments turned in more than a week late will earn a "60".
- There is no extra credit. You need to turn in all work for your best grade.
- Missing assignments become a “zero” in my grade book.
- If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get the work you missed.
