¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! Soy la señora Damasiewicz. Welcome to Spanish class! I am Mrs. Damasiewicz. I am very excited to have your child in my class this year. I have been teaching Spanish in the Mustang school district for 12 years. This year, I am going through the process of National Board Certification. I will be sending home a parent letter and permission forms with your child explaining the process and what I will need from you. Please make sure to fill out, sign, and send back any forms sent to you. Spanish in middle school is very basic. In 6th and 7th grades, the students take Spanish for a 9 weeks. In 8th grade, the students can take Spanish for a 9 weeks or for a semester. We introduce the students to words, phrases and grammar that they will be working more with in high school Spanish. We usually do all work in class, so your child will not have a lot of homework in this class. However, in order to do their best, your child needs to bring his/her supplies to class everyday. Supplies for Spanish are a folder with paper, pencil or pen, and the Spanish textbook(which I will check out to your child). Having a good attitude is also a great thing to bring to class!
