About Mr. Borthwick

Mr. Borthwick has been teaching for three years.  This is his first at Riverside, and he is loving it.  Currently, he teaches 2 Language Arts 9 classes, one Language Arts 10 class, and 6 Public Speaking courses. 

Mr. Borthwick is originally from (and still resides in) West Scranton.  He graduated from West Scranton High School in 2000.  He received his bachelor's degree in English from Marywood Unviersity in 2004, but went on an extra year after deciding to become a teacher.  In 2006, he enrolled in Wilkes University's Master's in Creative Writing program, from which he received his MA in 2008 and his MFA in 2009.
