March came in like a lion for sure!!!!! The children are glad that the NYS Math Test is only a memory. Over all the children felt comfortable with the questions on the three part test. It covered the basics, such as multiplication, fractions, division polygons, measurement and word problems. ENGLISH-We have finished working on time order words (next, then, finally, etc.)and writing sentences into paragraphs. It wasn't as easy as they thought. We had to do the same paper TWICE. RELIGION-We are working on Ways To Follow Jesus during this lenten season. Each day a kind act is chosen and the class records it in their Religion book and color in parts of a cross if the deed was done. READING-Unit 3 was finished and the unit test taken. The test is about five pages long, so much material is covered and understanding what they read is necessary. The class as a whole did very well. SOCIAL STUDIES- We are beginning the American Revolution and the meaning of Freedom. We have watched a video on life on a plantation and colonial living. The children enjoy Social and are interested in learning about colonial America. We are all hoping that the weather will allow us to go outside for recess SOON!!!! Till next time 4th grade class
