What Students and Parents Can Expect From Me

I will:
help the students to achieve a classroom where they
  • feel included.
  • have influence.
  • develop a sense of purpose.
  • have opportunities to increase their social and problem solving skills.
respect and care for each student as a valuable individual.
take each student's questions seriously.

insist that students follow safety rules indoor and out.

listen attentively to a student's thoughts, concerns, feelings, and opinions.

follow through on my commitments.

give every student what he or she needs to be successful.

post assignments in the classroom and on my web page along with websites and files that encourage further exploration.

hold students accountable for their work.

coordinate with other teachers regarding test and project dates.

provide a variety of ways for students to show what they have learned.

provide choices when assigning projects.

encourage students to always do their personal best in all their work.

challenge students with experiences that increase critical thinking skills.

contact parents when their child requires extra attention or help to be successful.

respond in a timely manner when contacted by a parent.

listen with attention and respect when parents tell me about their child.

I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with teaching children and will treasure each one as I would my own when they are in my care.

The BEST way to contact me is at my e-mail address.  I check this frequently throughout the day: cclark@stfrancisschool.org

Students and parents are welcome to call me at home for questions or concerns. Please call before 9:00 PM because I tend to retire early.

I think we will have a wonderful school year!
