• February 6th and 13th - 2 hour early release; Parent/Teacher conferences until 7:00 PM
• February 29 - NO SCHOOL!

8th Graders:

Will be working on the following SOL Objectives for the 3rd 9-weeks:

• 8.16 - Linear Equations
• 8.14 - Relating Tables, Graphs, Words,and Rules of a given relationship.
• 8.17 - Identify and compare the Domain, Range, Independent/Dependent Variable in a given situation.
• 8.11 - Practical Area and Perimeter Problems
• 8.7 - Investigate and solve problems involving volume, surface area of prisms, cylinders, cones and pyramids.

7th Graders:

Will be working on the following SOL Objectives for the 3rd 9-weeks:

• 7.14 a. - Solve one and two-step equations in one variable
• 7.14 b. - solve practical problems requiring the solution of one- and two-step equations.
• 7.13 a. - Write verbal expressions as algebraic expressions and sentences as equations.
• 7.13 b. - evaluate algebraic expressions for given replacement values of the variables.
• 7.4 - Solve single and multistep practical problems, using proportional reasoning.
• 7.9 - Experimental and Theoretical Probability
• 7.10 - probability and Fundamental Counting Principal
