Spelling Words

The first grade children will have 10 spelling words each week. Most of the time six of the words will reflect the phonics lesson that we are stressing for that week. Each week will include 2 review words from the previous week's lesson. And then it will include two high frequency words which are words that are not spelled phonetically, words such as "the" and "who".
Spelling words for week of May 28, 2012: This week we will be working on the long sound of o as in cold, and the long sound of i as in kind. This is our last spelling test! find mind mild cold fold most soon new boy building
