Welcome

Saint Aloysius Parish School Welcome

3 Neumann Scholarships Awarded

to Saint Aloysius Parish School

On March 14, 2013, we received a visit from the Connelly Foundation with results for the Neumann Scholar Test held for eligible Eighth Grade students in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  There are 5,000 eighth-grade students in the Diocese.  Of those, 822 students met eligibility standard, and Saint Aloysius had 5 qualifying students.  We commend these students for their dedication to academic excellence.

Those students are:

Mark DeHarde, Cara Deromedi, Benjamin Ferris, Matthew Homiak, Matthew Lohr

We are pleased and proud to inform you, that three of these students were awarded Neumann Scholarships.  This is a competitive and prestigious scholarship within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and provides full tuition for four years to an Archdiocesan High School.  There were 39 awards within 123 schools and only 5awarded within Montgomery County.  It is both rare and impressive to have not one, but two, but three Scholars within one school.  To date, Saint Aloysius students have received 15 scholarships in 17 years.

We thank our Saint Aloysius School community in congratulating our 3 Neumann Scholars for 2013:

Mark DeHarde        Benjamin Ferris     Matthew Homiak
