Classroom Procedures

General Procedures in Mrs. Pinney’s Class  

1. Entering the classroom: Come in, sit and place your book and binder on your desk.
2. When you are tardy, a note is needed.
3. End of class: Stay seated. Get your HW assignment. I will dismiss you.
4. Listening/Responding: Raise your hand. Listen when others are talking.
5. When I want your class’s attention, I will raise my hand in silence. Then you are to do the same.
6. When you return from an absence, look in the Science Assignment Book located in the front of the room. Any handouts that you missed will also be in there.
7.  Collecting work: Use your student number. I will collect in numerical order. If you hand work in early, place it in the appropriate file in the file box in numerical order.
8. Headings on paper: Please use the Middle School format. In addition, please place your student number in the upper right hand corner.
9. Returning work: I will hand work back when I have graded it. If you are absent when I return work, you may look in the appropriate class file and retrieve it.
10. Hall Pass: It is hanging in the back of the room by the pencil sharpener. If you have to use the restroom, you may turn the pass over to the red side. You may do this without asking me. If the pass is already in use, you must wait until the person using it returns. You must also sign in and out in the book in the back of the room.
